VIJAY THE BOX OFFICE KING

This Diwali, the fireworks won’t be just on the streets. It’ll be at the box office as well, where Vijay’s Velayudham will take on Suriya’s 7aum Arivu. The actors seem to have come a really long way since Vasanth’s Nerukku Ner, Suriya’s Tamil debut that featured him and Vijay in lead roles. A decade ago, the two starred together in the Siddique-directed Friends and now, are treated as ‘equals’ at the box office by most industry pundits.
Interestingly, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the producer of Suriya’s film, has stated that he'd be watching the Vijay film FDFS and that he’s “a big fan of the Ilayathalapathy.” And, Suriya’s director A R Murugadoss is slated to work with Vijay in his next flick! • The last film of Ilayadhalapathi Vijay's Kavalan was the boxoffice hit.Kavalan beat all the record.The 49th film was also a biggest hit of Sun pictures.(they tell in singam audio launch). 

• The Ilayathalapathy seems to have realized the importance of opting for accomplished directors. Currently, he’s working with Shankar on Nanban and has films with Murugadoss and Gautham Menon on the cards. USP: Punch dialogues, appeal with the masses, dance and comic timing.
