Vijay’s Nanban has taken a Blockbuster Box Office Opening in Tamilnadu. Nanban which was declared as the “most expected film” of 2012 was released in nearly 450 screen in Tamil Nadu alone and in Chennai it was released in 27 screens.

As per official sources Nanban Box Office Collections is expected to be more than 50 Crores in it’s opening Pongal weekend itself. Nanban has got very good reviews both from Film critics and also among people. Family audiences are rushing to theaters to get tickets which is already sold out for the opening week end.

'Nanban' got 1.39 Crore in first day from kerala, 76 theatres had all 4 shows full, while 9 theatres had 3 shows full except the very first shows.

In Nanban Vijay has shed his hero image and live a as Character which is well appreciated by all film critics and his fans. But the truth is by shedding his hero image Vijay has become the real hero in the movie by living the character Panchavan Parivendan.
