The combination of Ilayathalapathy Vijay and music director Vijay Antony has clicked in a big way with the audiences. The combo’s latest Velayudham music is a big hit with the audiences and has also helped the M Raja directed film to the winning post.
Last week the leading FM station Radio Mirchi in their Top 20 (week ending November 5), has placed two songs from Velayudham in the chart. “Chillax...” is the number one while “Molachu Moonu...” is at number two.
Vijay Antony has beaten the most popular Harris Jayaraj to the number one spot on Radio Mirchi Top 20 countdown.
Harris’s “Ringa Ringa…” from 7aum Arivu, which was the previous week’s number one has been relegated to the third position!
Vijay and Vijay has been reeling out hit after hits, right from Sukran (Ilayathalapathy did a cameo in the film) days.
The first full-fledged film that the duo did was Vettaikaran. Two songs from the film “Chinna Thamarai …” and “ Enn Muchimandai…” became runaway chartbusters.” And now Velayudham is an even bigger hit.
Vijay Antony has been able to give hit music to Vijay. The songs a mixture of mass and melody has worked wonders with Vijay’s fan base.
