Vijay’s back with a bang. Flush with the success of his Diwali offering Velayudham, Vijay met the media to cele brate and share his joy with them. He’s delighted that his `mass masala’ formula, finely packaged into a screenplay by Jayam Raja, has clicked in such a big way .Remarkably, despite the fact that his stories are not different, his `looks’ don’t change and his flicks don’t vary, most of Vijay’s films continue to work at the B-O, barring a few duds.
Reacting to a query about adopting MGR’s success formula in film after film (though initially he said he goes the Rajini way) Vijay explained, “It’s a tried and test ed formula for success. The legendary MGR fol lowed this formula and his films were block lowed this formula and his films were block buster hits. Rajini sir follows the same method and so do I!“ He grinned, “If it makes everyone happy, is there anything wrong in sticking to it?“ He said that he was eagerly waiting for the release of Nanban, in which he teams up with film maker Shankar. Jayam Raja and Vijay Antony were also present on the occasion.
